Grow Local South Texas hosts our Farmers’ Market EVERY Wednesday, 5-8pm, at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, 100 N. Shoreline Blvd.
Our Market features an assortment of fresh, seasonal produce, meats, dairy, eggs, locally made foods, food trucks and live music; all products were grown or made within 200 miles of Corpus Christi, TX. What are Veggie Vouchers?
The first 100 children (5-17yrs) at market Special Events can sign up for $5.00 worth of paper veggie vouchers to be used during that market to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs or food producing plants. Veggie Vouchers not only put new, healthy foods directly into the hands of our community’s kids, it also gives kids choice in their own diets. While shopping at market with their veggie vouchers children have the opportunity to try new foods, decide what healthy foods they want to try, and speak to local farmers to find out where their food comes from.
